I am totally new to Razz only playing it since yesterday. The following hand ocurred during a tournament. Did I play this correctly? With his ten showing I knew I was ahead on fifth street and that is why I bet it so hard. But I have no clue about how much of a favourite I have been. So is this standard? I certainly blew up the pot enough to give him odds for calling me down afterwards.

This is why
This is why
This is why Razz sucks
Pretty obv what he has on 6th street. I would not bet this river(7th), worse hands never call if he is competent at all. Check to induce a bluff and call.

Are you kidding spenda? Hands like this are why Razz is AWESOME. You want the fish raising you on fifth when you have board lock and you know he has to catch. He bricks often enough in this spot to say "nh guy."
I agree though check to induce a bluff on 7th.
OP got 4 bets in when he had villian drawing to 6 outs (One 5+2 are both burned). Not much more you can ask for. There's an argument for not pushing your edge on 5th, but meh, how can you pass up the oppurtunity to get in an extra bet when he's drawing that thin, you know you're ahead, and you know he's going to call another bet behind if he catches bad on 6th.
Saying This is why Razz sucks is being way too results oriented, OP got a metric asston of Sklanskquity in this pot.
Edit:
Spellification Correctionas.

So was my play correct? As said I am totally new to Razz and I dont have much of a clue about probabilities in Razz. I read somewhere that a smooth draw on fifth street is a slight favourite against a made nine low. In this case I had a made eight low. How much of a favourite was I on fifth street? I probably was a good favourite on sixth when opp paired the 7 on board.

Villian is not drawing smooth here, he's got 6 outs to win and can't tie when you spike the 3 on 6th. Drawing smooth usually means you have 12 live outs when your opponent has a made 7 or 8. The only non-standard play I see here is leading on 7th as opposed to check/calling. No worse hands call you.

Razz sucks so hard cuz it's such a stupid game.
These are my favorite hands I've played in Horse tourneys lately that illustrate how bad Razz sucks:
Me: A2 3444 A
Villain: A7 88J6 2
Yea, woohooo, I can't even make a shitty hand when I want to. In other news, I've become dominant in PLO8b HUsng's (just ask gmml and hartlin).

Bricking 12 outs 3 times does kind of blow.

OP should have capped preflop. Everything else was very good. You were outdrawn massively on 7th, thats poker. I would still Vbet the river with a made 7 as a made 8 may call

Thought process being he catches perfect so infrequently, and there's a chance he already has an 8, which he won't fold to one bet on the river, so vbet is the right play?

exactly. Sure he calls we he catches perfect. He also calls much wider than this including with any made hand he has already been betting that you beat. I think a vbet is massively +EV here and id do it everytime
