obv, there isnt any need for PT Razz, but i was wondering if any of you play it regularly? and, if so, how often are you seeing 4th street?
i seem to see it somewhere between 20 and 24 percent of the time. i'm sure it doesnt make or break you to play some marginal stuff at the lower micros. but, the discipline is hard when you are only two-tabling them and you go for 10 minutes+ w/o seeing a 3 card 7 or smooth 8.
anyone?

By this, do you mean Poker Tracker for razz? Poker Tracker Stud works for razz and many swear by it. I don't play with it myself but have only been playing Stud variants seriously for a couple of months.
I'd say 20 to 24 percent is a good range for full ring, particularly for those new to the game. As you develop reads, maximize the info shown to you via up-cards and start to take advantage of your position and to try to get heads up, your VPIP will rise. I'm closer to 30% myself and profitable, not that I'm great or anything.

cool, thx. i have been feeling, so far, that the game should be straightfoward enough, at my stakes, to go w/o stat reads. the only thing i feel i can get from PT right now is the winrate tracking so i dont need to do the pen and paper thing.
i am figuring out when i can steal and when i can try to cut down a field vs build a pot....all the fixed limit skills. but, i really need to get better at seeing potential situations develop and who i want in any specific situation.
and, i didnt know that PT Stud worked for Razz. hmmmm.

Yeah, I'm doing the same. The real benefit to Stud Tracker will be focusing on my starting card combos and opp stats - keep closer tabs on those playing 50%+ VPIP. Many are easy to eyeball but more info can only be good. Since it's only $55, I'm sure I'll break down and buy it before long.
HEM has hinted at a Stud Manager for quite a while but I don't think anything is in development.

i am a recent HEM convert. so, i may hold out a bit longer.
by the way, i notice the variance can be stifling. i wait and wait for good hands to play only to have it smashed by a 4th street Q and facing a bet from someone that caught another wheel card. dang.
but, when you hit, and get 3 chasers across all streets, it can build that stack right back up. god forbid you catch a couple hands in one orbit.
if youre starting to learn it, too, we should pm sometime and chat stuff over.

I'm concentrating mostly on Stud Hi at the moment (only playing a handful of LHE sessions in a month anymore, and that's always been my main game) but please do post any Razz hands here to hopefully drum up some interest from others too. This is a rarely used forum and that's a shame.
