ok, so i have dabbled with these forms of poker before. and, lately, i have read a little more on razz and stud8. my O8 game blows, but i can camp the nuts with the best of them at a full table. same with the stud games. razz, however, has some really bad players. so bad i dont need to wait for 3 card 7's all day long. i can play some 9's and get away with it.

for instance, i raised a 5 on my door and got called by a J and a T. i thought, "wow." but, i digress.

so, i switched to horse the past 8 sessions or so. and, is it me, or are these guys so ridiculously soft that its almost the more profitable game right now?

can i realistically expect to win 7 of 8 sessions, for healthy amounts, routinely? somehow, i dont think so, but i thought i'd ask. just by watching the play, i wonder if i cant. (granted, i am only playing 25c/50c) they just really, really suck.

edit: i am more wondering if these guys are complete tards at the variants, if their tardedness doesnt compound with impatience on a horse table that is switching forms every 8 hands?
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

HORSE is very juicy up to 1/2, imo
higher than that, ppl start to get tough, plus there are not that many games to choose from.

RE Razz, it's my worse game of the 5, but i still believe even I have an edge against some of the ppl out there. So, I play pretty darn tight, but less tight than I would against good players. Same concept applies for most forms of poker regarding playing fish: Play tighter than them, but dont be a rock or you'll miss tons of value
"could I take out every woman and child in a border town?"
For the right to be governed, waste them without mercy.
When you've decided. Meet me at the airport.

You can find juicy tables of either. Try the new 8-game tables too. They're wicked fun, especially if you're comfortable with the NL and PL portions, which I'm sure you are. I ran into a guy who capped A2345 in Triple Draw 2-7, among other superstars.

I'd like to get to a place where I'm very comfortable with all five HORSE games. For now, I'll spend some serious time on each variant alone, then put it all together.

it may have been......ME! i've done that before....lol. i was like, "whaddyamean the chips slid over there? i had the god damned nuts! oh, maybe thats why they call it 2-7. my bad."

i dont mind any of the PL/NL parts of 8game. i just am not fond of playing LHE and NL with the same blinds. its the same trouble i run into with my live games locally now. who gives a crap about LHE when the NL game is just an orbit or two away?

usually, i just dodge my weaker spots. in horse, i am not fond of stud hi, so i play ubertight until the round passes.

we oughta get one of the "reg" games back up and running at a horse, or 8 game, table? that might be good fun.

I'm pretty sure the NL is 0.05/0.10 blinds with the LHE 0.10/0.20 but I get what you mean.
