Just went through my PT database and compared the rake I pay per hand based on what site I was playing, and the results were shocking. I figured some others could do the same experiment.
I looked only at 2/4 6 max hands and divided total rake by number of hands played. Here's What I got:

PokerRoom: 0.1620
Cryptologic: 0.1599
PartyPoker: 0.1580
PokerStars: 0.0837

It looks as though I am paying approximately half the rake at Stars as the other sites. I have looked up the rake structure for each of the sites before, and have always known that Stars was the best, but 8 cents a hand can make a HUGE difference in the long run.
This is obviously why I am sustaining >5BB/100 over thousands of hands on Stars, where I am closer to 3 on Crypto and Party. (I am about 0.5 on the PokerRoom network, and when I understand that, I will be a much greater player)

But in conclusion, I play about 30K hands a month. An 8 cent difference per hand is $2400. That means a great deal to my bottom line. I am probably staying at Stars for a while.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

I have personally always found the competition to be enough better at Stars than Party that I actually make more at Party despite the worse rake structure. I don't care how bad the other players are at Pokerroom though, there is no way I think anybody can beat the rake structure they have for the low limit games for any sort of a good win rate in the long run. The average rake there is about 4.75% of the pot compared with 3.22% at Party and 2.86% at Pokerroom for the 2/4 game. 3/6 has a slightly worse rake structure at all rooms for some reason. Those numbers are only from my database where I only have about 10,000 hands in at both the Pokerroom and Stars 2/4 games, so they might be off a bit.

Party's bad players make up for the difference in rake, Stars has raked less money because pots on avg are smaller then what I see at great tables at party...

PokerRoom network rake is the fucking worse by far... the drop almost anything that sees a flop…

KoRnholio will become famous soon enough
I haven't played Stars in a while, but their rake structure is the best bar none. Last time I played there they didn't take a rake from the 2/4 game until the pot hit $20, and it was capped at $2 (one small bet) maximum.

Most other sites take partial rakes (say 0.25 on a $5 pot) which add up to a lot in the long run.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

And this is partly why I'll be staying at party for a long time.
