So I was playing LO8 - $0.25/$0.50 heads up today, and the rake seemed a little excessive, in 10 hands I took the entire $5.00 stake villian bought in with and only made $3.90. This seems like a pretty marginal return for beating him out of $5.00. Should I take this as meaning heads-up microstakes has a rake that makes playing it profitably relatively cost ineffective, or am I making grandios mountains out of normal mole hills?

A lot of games aren't worth your time due to rake.

Short-Handed LHE and 5/10 Draw are up there too.

Some sites take a lower rake on heads up/shorthanded cash games, but most don't. The sites that use the regular rake schedule will absolutely eat up any profits you could make.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
