I was playing last night and had a pretty good run but then lost QQ vs KK on a ragged board in a pretty large pot which leads us to the next hand. Everyone folds and the button raises. SB folds and BB calls, BB ends up losing a pretty big pot. Long story short I was still a bit ticked about losing that pot so I check the mucked card history. BB lost with A4o and I said "serves you right for trying to blind steal with garbage" to which he replied "I had an ACE YOU IDIOT". I just about feel outa my chair.

If your looking to defend your blind, having an ACE in hand isn't a terrible time to do it. I understand where the guy is coming from. He already posted BB. He was just trying to defend himself. No harm in that. He probably make the mistake of getting an ace flop and turning aggressive with his bad ACE. Best you can do is call down with a bad ACE unless it two pairs.

No, it was Button who had the A6o when he raised and he got burned, button had something suited like QT.

your original story said the BB had A4o. then you said the button had A6o. then you said the button had QTs. then you said BB had QT.
i think you need to work on your storytelling skills.
btw there is nothing wrong with going for a blind steal with any ace. sklansky recommends it.

Actually the BB and the button both had AA and accidentally folded.

lol I'm sorry. i was tired last night when I wrote this. Button had A6o and BB had QTs. Anyways, so some of you agree with trying to steal with Ace anything? I don't get this, especially at the limits I'm at .5/1

I'll steal with any two 8 or higher. Axs and A5+o work too, but I find that they often fold worse hands to Axx boards anyway so I like stealing with a lot of hands.

I'm not sure what the limits have to do with it. The limits must be high enough for those at the table, after all, it was folded around to the button. So, the players don't seem loose at these limits in this particular game.
As Fnord and others have noted, when it's folded round to the button, you are in the raise or fold zone (no limping). I'd raise with Ax from the button everytime if it's just the SB and BB left, and I'm not sure I'd even think of it as blind stealing with Ax.

Yes you do, Fnord.
I was observing you for a session recently and was very impressed how your play in late position changed depending on how passively or agressively the SB and BB (mostly) were defending their blinds. One player seemed to be dishing them over at will, and you seemed to be playing a much higher % of late position raises. I thought to myself, when is this going guy going to catch on and bite back at you - but he never did, and you just kept taking them...
I think you mentioned before, the cards you can steal with vary depending on how aggressively or passively the players are defending their blinds.
I don't want to sound like this approach is a new revalation to me, but because I play mostly 6H, very few people are passive about blind defence. The blinds just come around way too often to be handing them over. As such, I don't see as many repetitive chances to capitalize as I do in some tighter 10H games.
