Let's say I raise A Q from UTG, button calls, and BB calls.

The flop comes Q 8 2, and the pot is 6 small bets.

The BB checks, so do I lead out here or check waiting to bet on the turn so I can deny pot odds for the flush draw?

I'm confused

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

bet
if you get raised a lot of people say 3-bet here
I just call then raise/bet the turn into any none flush card.
Perosnally i dont like 3 betting flops unless i have a large part that is larger than someone elses part and im not folding. Tp isnt that hand for me, but thats imo.

Even in this small of a pot, you can't really protect your hand against a good draw like a flush or straight draw. Lead out to protect against backdoor draws and gutshots, and low pairs and such. Even if you wait for the turn, Opponent gets 4:1 on a call, and even though it's thin, will call on implied odds. So, the best you can do is value bet it on the flop.

what's worse, someone calling and getting their draw or you handing it to them for free?

If you bet you have no chance in hell of having anyone fold at 7:1 or higher... but since it is 3 ways there is no real reason not to bet anyways, if it were like 4 or 5 ways then you might consider a different line but the play HU or 3 handed is to fire it...
