I might donk the river, but I think your line is fine.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

1. Why are you in this hand out of position? QTo against a pre-flop raise out of position requires a read that the pre-flop raiser has a wide enough range that you stand a decent chance of winning some hands with TPGK. Because you aren't going to hit enough big hands with this to justify the call otherwise.
I'd fold pre- without a read that the raiser has a wide range.
2. As played, it's fine. You made top pair, check-raised flop, bet turn, and check-called the scare card on the river.

I would consider a CO raise with MP posting dead to be wide. With no additional reads, I think putting villain on a range of 30-40% is appropriate in that cirumstance.
I am getting 7-1 PF with a decent hand.
Even without the dead poster and the cold caller, I defend QTo vs a steal raise, even more so getting much better odds and a fish in the middle?

i think QT is a fine defending hand against even a midly aggro CO. cmon, dude, you would defend QT against ME....it doesnt require much of a read. in fact, it's very likely a standard play. (imo, this is where 6max helps your reads/situational poker. and, FR nits dont defend against post flop resteals worth shit.)
i also may c/r the river here. this pot would be a fun one. AJ/KJ are not c/r'ing this turn. nor is a sane JJ. bigger Q, two pair, sets, lucky straights, and possibly an assortment of bluffs that are just trying to blow you off the pot.
depending on your read, you can do all three on this river.....c/c, b/f, c/r/c. although calling the 3bet is a huge "puke call."
as for "having to hit a flop," i think that is untrue against light stealers. you c/r flop and the fish will burn out. donk turn and CO will take off w/o a hand. i dont like it 4 handed, but that wasnt the intention. cant be many 3/6 FR hands going 4 handed to flops.
