6-handed 2/4. Hero is BB.

Button is a calling station.

SB is a good player--aware, thinking, and tricky against me (he played pretty straightforwardly against others, but I was tricky against him earlier and he got tricky back at me).

----- PREFLOP ----- dealt to Hero [Q Q]

UTG folds, EP folds, MP folds, Button calls, SB calls, Hero raises, Button calls, SB calls

----- FLOP ----- [K 3 A]

SB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, SB raises, Hero folds, Button folds

Terrible flop for me, but I take a stab at it anyway. With a caller (who would call with any pair, flush draw, gutshot, or just about anything that remotely related to the flop), and a checkraiser who may be trying to bluff me out, was I correct to give this up here?

BankItDrew will become famous soon enough
Take a stab at it, but make sure to be in check/fold mode from there.

Flops like these when I got pocket ladies are heart breaking. Reality is, 80% of the time at this point you are beat. You made the right play. One of them more than likely has the ace or king. Even if you were wrong this time, and they were just playing the board, overtime you made the right call. You'll definitely be losing more than gaining if you call your pocket pairs with two overs on the board.

The only other line worth considering is just flat out check/folding the flop.
