Villian is apt to raise light from the BB (EDIT: from the BUTTON i meant) and go too far with his hands.

Q1) what do i do on the flop?

Q2) Given what's happened on the flop, what's my move on the turn?

Q3) he' b/c the flop and c/c'd the turn bet. What do i do on the river?

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Turn: (4.25 BB) 2 (2 players)

If he's made he's probably reraising flop, so good turn bet. Any reason you checked river? Was it a check/call?

These are pretty basic blind defense problems and I'm not going to write up everything those sources discuss about these spots.

Not sure if you're aware or not, but you ran a really standard line against this guy in this spot. Ni Han.

He's never calling a river bet with a worse hand. Might as well check and give him a chance to bet. Best case, he bets a worse hand or checks behind a better one.

If we had K9 this would be a really easy river bet.

Thanks. Read that book, and not sure if i remembered it all but when he calls the flop c/r and turn bet is when i get a bit nervous.

LOL!

He's a super-aggro showdown monkey playing chicken hold'em.

I like Sklansky's approach to beating anyone at chicken. Throw the steering wheel of the window in full view of your opponent.

This morning I ran into one of those guys when I had 88 in the bb. Despite knowing he was an aggressive donkey I backed off on the turn with 2 big overcards (KQ) on the board. He showed me something like j3, and I cursed his name.

I'd be more bitter but he's one of my favourite players - a multitabling maniac, and I've made a fair bit of money from him over the last few weeks.

There's an EXTREMELY small range of worse hands that can even consider calling this river.

You != Him. He doesn't think like you.

Anyway, I agree that we're more likely to induce a bluff here than get a worse hand to call.

This guy called a check-raise with two undercards and no draw. These people don't suddenly tighten up on the river.

lol. Yeah if i knew he's made bottom pair on the river i would have bet. Otherwise i'm thinking he can't possibly be as bad as the play on this hand suggests.

This is a great reason why we don't post results. All we know about this player based on reads is that he raises light from the button and goes too far with his hands. *I* raise light from the button, but 43o is not part of my range.

There's no reason to believe he paired up the turn or river card if we don't see the results. Assuming he didn't pair the turn or river, what's he reasonably calling a river bet with that we beat? 44-77 and 8x? K high?

I'm sorry but a river bet is SO much worse than a river check, and it's not close.
