so this one didn't work out too well for me, but this is what you should be doing post-flop in these situations. Well, perhaps I shouldn't have raised the turn -- and saved the bet for the river if the heart came. but yeah.

Absolute Poker (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with :Ah:, .
1 fold, MP calls, CO calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, BB raises, MP calls, CO calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) , :Jh:, (4 players)
BB bets, MP calls, CO raises, Hero calls, BB 3-bets, MP calls, CO calls, Hero caps, BB calls, MP calls, CO calls.

Turn: (12.75 BB) (4 players)
BB bets, MP calls, CO calls, Hero raises, BB calls, MP calls, CO calls.

River: (20.75 BB) :Qc: (4 players)
BB checks, MP checks, CO checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 20.75 BB

Results in white below:
BB has Kc Jc (one pair, jacks).
MP doesn't show.
CO has 7s 7c (three of a kind, sevens).
Hero has Ah 3h (high card, ace).
Outcome: CO wins 22.75 BB.
If I had a hammer
I'd drop in the morning
I'd drop in the evening..

Good flop play, especially since the cap may get you a free card if you need it on the turn.

Just call the turn though. You are 4:1 to make your flush, and by raising, you dropped your pot odds from 15:1 to 8.5:1. You have no chance of winning if you don't make your flush, So the raise is much less +EV than a call.

Also, if you just call the turn it is more likely that a player will bet into you on the river than if you raise. This is good since if you don't make the flush, you fold, and if you do, you have the nuts and raise, getting more money in the pot.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

ChezJ is an unknown quantity at this point
be glad the river was not the or

you were drawing to 7 outs not 9 so jamming the turn wasn't the best move.

agreed on the turn. I posted that on the original post. Better to just call.

Exactly, a call in turn makes sense.
btw, a good play in flop to cap. you are the mush be the winning hand if you make flush as no pair up board
