Villain seems to be the biggest winner at this stake on my new site. Table just broke and we haven't had any confrontations yet HU.

I have seen him show the ability to barrel off his stack with the initiative in good spots but haven't seen him fight back much facing aggression.

Thoughts on river?

I'd raise flop all day.

and would check (is it 1/1?) pre.

I dunno on river, I think it's a coinflip, I typed up reasons for both actions so I gave up.

ya it's 1-1

i guess limping is fine but i just see no problem calling a 3-bet 300bb's deep with any four cards here.

the big question i have is how likely he is to turn top set into a bluff on this river or how likely he is to flat the turn with the nuts and shove this riv to get me off a chop.

oh yeah for sure call the 3 bet, I just don't like raising to begin with. I mean it's fine but I want some unpaired hands in my limp range.

Definitely raise flop.

Gross spot; have to think his turn continuing range is a lot of combo draws w/Ahxh so puke fold. meh

fwiw this guy loves to barrel with the initiative in spots where he s more likely to be nutted than his opponent so i preferred flatting flop and raising any turn, expecting him to barrel a huge % of perceived blanks.

Wow yeah that hand changes things. I don't know that this is a 'good spot' but I guess I can see his logic OTT/R. I hate his flop bet.

so now I say call river for sure, with his image he may even be value betting AT.

I assume you meant you'd raise if you miss the turn, I would not raise or fold ever if you make your hand.

i think his 3 barrel is really good actually, outside of the fact that the c-bet is pretty unnecessary and spewy.

all these games i m playing are 5-max, so things tend to get a little crazy between the aggros.

So I think the unknown here is what your turn raise means to him. We have 1 HH showing you call down with trip jacks; does he put you on the nuts with this turn raise or have you been pushing back with 2 pair/combo draws. If he knows he's shoving against a strong range it seems a fold is OK.

I find myself wondering if pot-raising the turn is optimal

ya maybe flatting turn and calling any non-nut river and raising whenever i still have the nuts is a better line?

we don t have a ton of history besides the HH i posted above, pretty standard 100bb pots in rr pots with weak hands vs OP's, he likes to c-bet, i like to raise his c bets with the weaker part of my range and call with the stronger part of my range that doesn t do well equity-wise getting it in.

is that his std turn bet sizing, like 80% pot? Sounds like you play a bunch of 3bet pots so you should know this.

that s his standard bet-sizing for every situation.

hard to believe that somebody so predictable would be a big winner, but we re talking about some pretty fucking soft games filled with loose-passive regs and whales.
