Can anyone here with a decent sample sise confirm that they have actually made a profit at $1/2 6max on the BBJ tables at absolute poker without running insanely good? I'm just wondering whether or not to cut my losses and move site as the rake is just absolute rape and I'm running about -5bb/100 and still losing after the $5 bonus per 20 points. I think the 33% rakeback on top of this just about puts me around breakeven.

Other sites I'm running anywhere between 0.6 and 2.8 bb/100

For the house maybe....

Seriously, what do you mean by that? Still easy to make a profit at these levels with that kind of rake?

If the house is profiting from this, then it basically has to lower your expectation at the table, since clearly you don't have a "bad beat" edge over anyone.

The BBJ rake is a killer. I've played 25k hands of $50nl 6 max since the BBJ started and it is essentially another 2PTBB/100 on top of the normal rake. Rake @ AP BBJ tables works out to be about 5PTBB/100 total....one positive aspect of the BBJ tables is that they tend to be more fishy. As such, I find them to be slightly more profitable in the end, esp when you take into account the improved bonus clearing requirements.

I am pretty sure all the BBJ rake goes towards the jackpot that is then won by a random player. So, in theory, in the long long long run you will break even on the BBJ rake...

The real killer is the regular shorthanded crypto rake. Up to $3 a hand really eats into profits
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

That would explain alot. A combination of this and running bad is smashing my BR to bits. ThinkI'll leave Absolute until I'm rolled for at least 2/4

Actually 20% goes to the house, 20% goes to starting the next jackpot and it can be won at $50NL and up as well as limit. So for you to break even, you would need to live to be about 150000908 years old and win twice
