Not much of a read on opponent. Since I have a K, and since he raised preflop, I thought it was unlikely he had a set. I figured his most likely hand was something like an overplayed A-A, so I decide to represent the set and move in. Thoughts?

I am by no means any good at PLO, but just applying PLHE logic to this hand, your play would be wonderful if CO was the only one you were worried about. Having BB and MP2 with 6.50 invested in this hand makes your move a little more risky.

I'd like to hear what the actual PLO'ers have to say about this tho.

How likely do you think it is that neither player flopped a set? I think it's probably fairly likely. Even 6-6 is pressured to fold here.

its fine to me
Top pair, although two pair would be better with draws to the FH, plus any 5 for a real set or any diamond for the nut flush.
The play is ok, but id prefer to do this knowing i had outs to a FH and flush rather than simply outs to two pair and a flush. For all we know two pair maybe no good or the case king hit the flop and youre up against a set of kings.
As played its ok i think.

He probably has either A-A or K-K. Without a read there is probably little way of telling. A good player probably has K-K here, a bad player probably has A-A. If he has K-K, I need a flush. If he has A-A, I need a K, 5, or a flush.

Apparently not, since that's what he had and he called. I just felt like gambling on him folding / hitting my hand, but it probably would've been best only to make this play in the presence of more information about his ability to lay down marginal hands.

if you know he doesnt have the KKK then this play is goot, knowing you have two 5s to the winning hand plus any two pair and the flush. Enough outs imo to push it all in.
If he may have KKK im more resigned to chasing or trying to buy a card or two.
Still, you provide a read i agree with and therefore i like the play. If he calls with AA then you wana play a lot more with this guy.

I like it. The key in this hand is having the nut flush draw, meaning it's not possible for him to have AA plus the nut flush draw.

Also:

Omaha Hi: 820 enumerated boards containing 8c Kd 6d
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Ad 5d Kh 5h 420 51.22 400 48.78 0 0.00 0.512
As Qs Ac Tc 400 48.78 420 51.22 0 0.00 0.488

Even if he doesn't lay down his aces, you're in good shape. I even gave him backdoor straight/flush draws, which he may not even have.. At this level people see AA49 rainbow and figure they just *have* to raise it preflop.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
