I had a real rough stretch of suckouts, bad beats and general reamings. As a result my post flop aggression has really suffered. I have recouped my losses and am back on the positive side currently. I am having problems staying aggressive though. There is always this nagging worry in the back of my mind that i am beat and i shouldnt be throwing more money away.
Is this something that will go away over time?

Not until you realize the more you value bet the suckers the more money you will make.

It's surely case by case , sometimes aggressive, sometimes passive.
This will earn you most.
Give your hands will be more illustrative

not betting your hand to protect it will lead to more suckouts which will lose you even more money over time...
