PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (7 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with T, J.
UTG calls, MP1 calls, 1 fold, CO raises, Hero calls, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls, MP1 folds.

Flop: (11 SB) 2, 3, T (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, CO bets, Hero calls, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (8 BB) A (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, CO checks, Hero bets, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls, CO folds.

River: (11 BB) 8 (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, BB folds, UTG folds.

Final Pot: 12 BB

So I cold-called with JTo, which I assume was not a smart play. But I flopped top pair, and then when no one bet after the turn I got aggressive and it worked.

1) Is my pre-flop play here ever a good idea, and 2) Did I play it right after I'd gotten myself into the hand or did I simply luck out?
Winner didn't even know it was a pie-eating contest
