Could somebody give me an idea if I am on the right track? I have been using PT for a few days now trying to anaylize my game, and these are my results today.
Total Hands - 502
VPIP - 21.31
VPIP SB - 44.83
Won $ WSF % - 32.35
BB - 0.60
Went To SD - 32.35
Won $ SD - 45.45
PF Raise - 5.98
I know my Went to SD % is bad so I am showing down with second best too often, but what else should I see in these numbers? Thanks in advance for your help.

Mine is in the same ballpark. The biggest difference between us is that I'm comming in for a raise more often, limping less often and playing my SB a lot less often. I like to GAMBooL it up with the fishies when I have position...

I think your went to SD is fine, you're just losing it too much which is probably because of the small sample size.
But the PFR should go up.

....WSD isnt bad, its probably the least of your worries.
I'm guessing you're playing microstakes, that being said, 21 vpip is way too high. Get that down to the 17-18 area. Secondly, your PFR is way to low. Get this up to around 8-9ish. Thirdly, I dont know your aggression standards, but given your Loose-passiveness preflop I can only assume you are the same post flop.
And finally, this is way too low of a session to really say anything. You can play twice this many hands in one day and not even blink, some do 4 times as many. Come back with 10k and thats a start.

I was playing .50/1. Thanks for the quick replies! I do have an aggression problem, I need to be more aggressive postflop, and apparently also pre-flop. So at .50/1 should I still shoot for 17-18 VPIP? As for more of a sample size if I use the last 3 days I get:
.50/1
Total Hands 1,938
VPIP - 25.75
VPIP SB - 48
Won $ WSF% - 32.02
BB/100 Hands - 0.38
Went to SD - 37.44
Won at SD - 47.81
PF Raise - 7.07
Does that give a better picture? Thanks

My stats looked somewhat similar when I first purchased PT. To get your VPIP down and your PFR up, try this:
VPIP- don't limp A,10; K,10; Q,10; J,10; K,J; Q,J; sometimes K,Q (offsuits); 22-55 in EP; Play them only after at least one other person has entered the pot in MP.
PFR- Raise the above and most other playable hands in LP if first to act or if a fish has limped.
These are just quick guidelines, but it dropped my VPIP to about 18% and my PFR went up to about 8%.

Thanks Ltrain, I have to say this site is awesome. Since reading SSH and reading the material here my game has improved so much. Thanks to the creator and everyone who contributes.

Interesting mix of both dumping unprofitable positions and dumping a couple profitable ones (open with a raise.)
Better yet, just learn how to play well pre-flop. It's not hard. King Yao has some pretty good tables for the formula driven crowd...

So you recommend "Weighing the Odds in Hold’em Poker" Fnord? I was thinking about picking this one up. Any other books you like? Thanks
