Hi Guys,

I mostly play offline in a casino and part of the reason is that I want to develop good skills in reading players. Now the amount of information available on every player is enormous, and to try to remember and be able to recall the information is difficult unless you had a good framework to put around all that information.

The most basic reads on a player is whether they are TAGG, LAGG, TPASS, LPASS etc...

I like to try to get beyond that but i have trouble processing all the information. e.g. I am trying to find out what the best questions to ask about a player are that will help me in a hand.

what hands do they raise with?
Do they call down with gutshots?
Do they play any suited cards?
Do they slowplay on the flop with a set?
Will they raise with 2 pair on the turn?
Are they able to fold to a raise?

All this is offline so you can't really have poker tracker to help you here. Has anyone being able to do this with success or any tips on how to organise these type of thoughts in your brain. Are these even the right questions to ask yourself.

In the games I play you don't need to think about these things to win, as I can win just by playing tight, but I want to be able to develop my live poker skills so I can play the higher limit games.

Read some of Mike Caro's material. There is a whole bunch of little bits of information people leak in live games.
