So I wake up on the button, about 20 hands into a tournament with
AAQQ Double Suited in Diamonds and Spades.
There were about 6 limps going around A few shorties, and 2 dominating chipstacks. I'm one of the dominating chipstacks
I bet the pot to thin the field. Is this a good play? I ended up against a lowdraw hand and we split. 3456 rainbow.
My reads on the table were very thin as I haven't been playing omaha HL long. I also am playing micro stakes tournaments .50 +.10 So it's a lot of superdonk action. Any thoughts?

The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

AAQQ is good, not sure if it's great in O8. Don't pot it pre, min-raise or 3x raise to build the pot. You want a ton of people drawing to lows or weaker flush draws than yours.
Stacks are pretty important. If raising left a PSB behind on the flop, then it's fine.
Omaha is a post-flop game. Pre-flop decisions are much more marginal than holdem.

With 6 limpers I think potting it is good, pot bet is big enough to thin the field.
I would not raise 3BB, you will get tons of callers in a big pot, and unless A or Q hit you will have to risk a lot of chips to chase a draw with no low
