First time playing with villain, no reads on him/her. Villain did play the first 4 hands immediately after sitting, each time calling a raise regardless of position. Could just be a quick run of good cards, but my take is just some loose gambling.

I opted to check my BB. It's an decent/ok starting hand, but I hate getting the pot too big and out of position vs 2 limpers and SB as it seems like no one folds at these levels.
I thought villain was on a low draw and that was the reason he flat called both the flop and turn. I also considered villain having a higher flush but may have been a little worried about the board pairing on the turn and decided to only flat and hope for a low. I didn't really think he had a FH as I "think" he jams the turn w AJ or A3 or even JJ.
Anyone handling the river differently? Check call, Check fold?
Anyone betting a different amount? Does a smaller amount say 1/2 pot or $6.50 achieve the same but softens the loss if I'm wrong.
Playing any of the other streets differently? Check call turn, check with intention of checkraising the turn?

yeah, I would go with a smaller river bet to make it easier for trips to pay you off. Also what was the plan if he shoves river?

Given the way I potted the river...I think I make a crying call given that it's like 4 to 1 at that point. I suppose my made the pot bet so I wouldn't get bluffed off of the hand.
If I bet 5 or 6 I think I can lay it down if he shoves. I would have be pretty certain this is the type of player that may make move with trips, but I don't really have a read. At this point I can really only beat trips with a missed low, cause my flush is so weak.

I agree with all that, so I think the best option with no read except maybe loose is a HPS bet/fold. saves lots if behind, doesn't give up much if ahead and maybe gets calls from hands that fold to PSB. It seems unlikely he'll bluff a missed low given his stationy play so far. If he's so bad he'll shove trips for value here then I feel good we'll get the money later anyway.

Preflop: I can see both a check and a raise
Flop and turn are fine.
On the river I think I prefer check-call to bet-call or bet-fold, if he is on a low draw, which is very likely then he may bluff the river (unlikely but possible). The only reason to bet the river IMO is if you think you can get him to fold better flushes

preflop you should raise for sure. Probably to $2
half pot to 2/3rds pot on the flop
then with the inflated pot the hand plays itself, and with low draw + little flush + trips on the turn, we commit right there.
as played, I'd have to consider whether I got much value in the hand there. Given that your only read that he's a station, I'd bet half the pot for blocking/value, with the intention to make a crying call if he raised
