I completely froze on the turn when the scare card hit. The villain runs 45/5 stats and isn't very aggressive post flop. The hh isn't tidied up because the converter fucks up the pot and bet sizes...

Ahh the nut straight.. such an awkward hand (especially out of position) in Omaha. I would lead this flop, call a raise and look for a non-scare card on the turn.
The problem with check-raising is that it basically announces your hand and lets people take advantage of any scare cards that hit (either for value or as a bluff).
Because there was no raise preflop, your check-raise doesn't get enough money into the pot to cut down on any implied odds the opponents behind you will have with any draw they might have. Certainly no one is folding a set or flush draw when in position and deep stacks still.

don't play shit like 789T and you won't have this problem.
It's a *really* shitty hand. Think about it on the flop; is there a single card that's actually good for you? Diamonds put the flush on board. QKA puts a higher straight on. 2 lows put a low on. A pair puts a full house on.
There is no combination of turn and river cards that could come which will give you the nut hand and leave you only half.
Therefore, fold PF
edit: fuck I didn't see he was BB free flop. NH then.

Hero is the BB in unraised pot. Locked into playin it so I think playing it slowish is the way to go. out of position sucks especiallty in the game of draws known as omahaa. If this makes no sense, blame italian red wine.

I think I flat call the flop and see the turn card, if it is not a scary card then I pot it.
The problem with your hand is that any diamond, J,Q,K,A is a bad card for you.
BTW given that you hold a 7 and a T reduced the chance of a set
