Villain is a loose passive player with PTO stats 67/6/.55. He "probably" views me as a semi-tight to tight agro player. He plays a lot of pots and willing to play for half a pot a good amount of the time, and doesn't seem to care about getting quartered for his entire stack.
PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, $0.50 BB (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
Hero (BB) ($50.50)
UTG ($12)
UTG+1 ($49.60)
MP1 ($41.85)
MP2 ($30)
CO ($64.20)
Button ($34.50)
SB ($24.80)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 4 , K , Q , A
6 folds, SB bets $1.50, Hero calls $1
Flop: ($3) J , 8 , 6 (2 players)
SB bets $2.85, Hero calls $2.85
Turn: ($8.70) 10 (2 players)
SB bets $3, Hero raises to $17.30, SB raises to $20.45 (All-In), Hero calls $3.15
River: ($49.60) 5 (2 players, 1 all-in)
His raise preflop suggested A2xx/A3xx, as with other garbage he tends to limp a lot. I decided to defend my blind with this hand given I had position and decent a hand HU.
Flop is OK for me. Nut flush and 3rd nut low, I like my draws but really haven't got much else going on. He fires a PSB cbet and I decided to peel a card off.
Turn is a pretty good card for me. I have 13 out wrap draw (although maybe 12 if I put him on A2 or A3), and another 7 clubs for the nut flush, but 6 of them makes a low. He makes a small bet about 1/3 of the pot. It feels extremely weak, and given my view of his play, is an A2 with no high trying to get a cheap river. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a straight or even a pair given his bet size. I think I have very little showdown value with my hand, as I don't think I can call a river bet if a low comes. So I just shove my draw feeling that he was too weak to call a reraise. He committed whatever he had left, think like $3 or something.
River hit, and when he tabled his hand, made me kinda sick.
Anybody playing this hand differently on any of the streets, but mainly the turn? Different bet sizes, raises?
I ran the equities, and given my read I was the favorite on the turn. Maybe I'm just be too results orientated...

I am reading it right that
1) he calls for half the pot a lot
2) you put him A2/A3
3) you thought he would fold the turn?

well he doesn't have half of the pot yet, he's merely on a draw for half
I don't play hi/lo but it seems like we could potentially have a ton of equity against certain hands but I'll wait for Salsa to chime in.
Final note, is 3betting PF bad? Idk how different the dynamics are in PLO8b.

Absolutely right...Can't make a station fold, especially for an enticing proposition as half of a pot.
Feels like calling is just as bad as raising...but a fold also seems wrong.

I was about a 70/30 favorite for a scoop, but unfortunately he hit a 5 outer.
At these levels, not much 3betting is done PF, and my specific hand doesn't really warrant a 3bet.

I think I raise the turn too, I think you're ahead a lot of the time, you can never be crushed, and his $3 bet is so weak I expect him to fold a non trivial amount even with the read

Preflop I think both calling and raising are justified.
I do raise the flop however, you have NFD+Low draw, raising the flop can win it right there, or can give you a free card on the turn. With your read on villian he will rarely reraise you
