Operation on my wisdom teeth goes smoothly! Pain less than I feared! So I'm back to the PLO tables. Here's some hands where I think my play is debateable. Obviously I'm not going to post hands where I stick it in pre flop with Aces or bet the nuts. So here we go...
******* Hand 1 ********
UTG is a good, solid player who has won about $3000 over 4270 hands. Plays 23 VPIP, hard to exploit, and has my full respect. I'm trying to clear out similar straight draws or a bare higher flush draw to increase the equity of my hand. But was the pot big enough to fight for?

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 4 7 9 J
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, SB calls, Hero checks.
Flop: T 8 A ($8, 4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG bets $7.6, UTG+1 folds, SB calls, Hero raises to $38, UTG raises to $129.2, SB folds, Hero raises all-in $141.95, UTG calls.
Turn: 4 ($375.5, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $375.5)
River: 8 ($375.5, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $375.5)
Results:
Final pot: $375.5
******* Hand 2 ********
Here I choose not to flip my hand face up pre-flop by reraising. Although double suited, it certainly would not have been a bad play.
The table texture was dominated by villain. He was insanely bad, was literally trying to give money away but the cards were hitting him in the face. Had been @$2000 a bit before. The whole table knew he was a maniacal fish.

******* Hand 3 ********
The same villain, on a different table. In case you're wondering why the stack sizes in all the hands are so different, it's because I've been buying into the 400PLO game with $120. It's been working great, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it. My main reason for doing so is to get full value on my aces against people who will call pre-flop with trash, and not suffer the reverse implied odds in the process.
MP2 is the same villain as in hand 2. On another table though. MP1 was somewhat loose player who had been bet/folding more than usual. He liked to steal but would back down to aggression. But I didn't have much of a read on him as he'd only played about 60 hands. Can I fold a higher flush draw, or a 2 pair?

******* Hand 4 ********
Villain was 49VPIP, 28PFR, hyper aggro and just really wanted to gamble. He'd bet a lot, was bluffing, trying to run over the table. He was pretty damn bad. He's up $400 over about 250 hands, but that included a $1320 win where he went AI on the flop with 789 on a 56T 2-suited flop and won against a set and a NFD, and another hand where he won $509 when he was AI bottom 2 pair against top set and hit runner-runner flush.
I'm not entirely in my comfort zone playing so deep stacked against him though. I'd run my stack up from $120 buy-in.

Hand 1: How's your hand stack up against a set? With the A on the board and the bet/3-bet line I think our flush draw is almost always good. My only worry here is that we should be leading hands like this and air a lot to pick up small pots.
Hand 2: Standard LAgg abuse.
Hand 3: I fold every street. The 2 calls in front force us to have stuff like a set or draw to the nuts to want to continue because our oppponents collectivly stomp all over this hand.
Hand 4: Yeah, the money is too deep to want to fuck around. You got too deep to be comfortable, so I'm cool with jamming the pot while you're almost always good. I would look for another table or seat if you can. Giving a guy like that position can really fuck up your Christmas.

At what point does your stack have to get to for you to want to leave a table.
Or is it just against this type of opponent where you don't like being so deep.

3 I hate - you are too short to play crappy draws or bluff. PF would be OK if you had position.
2 is especially good if villian is bad enough to call with KK or QQ!

When a loose/aggressive/smart player has position on you and getting the best of you, you want to be short so you can commit to marginal hands or find another table. It's a matter of protecting yourself from people who will use position to out-play you.
