So I played a $5 PLO donkament and was pretty unsure of what kinds of stuff I can expect from these fish. Any general advice for PLO tournaments?
1st hand: Is this an easy jam? I realize AAxx isn't a big favorite over many hands and the flatters are probably calling very wide. What kind of a range should I have?

UTG (t13523)

MP1 (t7134)
MP2 (t12776)
CO (t13610)
Button (t1520)
Hero (SB) (t1775)
Hero's M: 9.86
Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 , Q , 9 , Q
1 fold, UTG+1 bets t240, MP1 calls t240, 1 fold, CO calls t240, Button calls t240, 1 fold, BB calls t120
Flop: (t1260) K , 7 , 3 (5 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 bets t1260, 4 folds
Total pot: t1260
2nd hand: Sort of was getting a feel for how many horrible hands people limp and figured I'd isolate with kind of a meh hand. Is this less effective in PLO since I can never be that far ahead of their limp/call ranges? As for the flop, can I expect to get called by worse? Easy check behind?

try and keep pots small early with 30+ BBs. Raising is OK as long as people are not 3 betting but don't do any 3 betting yourself and feel free to limp instead, test out min raises, etc. People are going to do dumb stuff like felt OESDs+ a pair or a Q high flush draw or {insert easily dominated hand} for stacks, you don't want to let them off the hook getting it in pre until you have to.
Even once I get shallow I take a lot more flops compared to HE, unless people are folding to 3 bets which probably won't happen. I don't want to say play like Phil Hellmuth but his craziness makes a lot more sense in omaha.
1) you can run some sims here:
http://www.propokertools.com/simulat...tionEditor.jsp
you're 60/40 dog vs over pairs and will be in better shape vs anything else.
I even ran AA98 and you're only 2/1 behind. I'd jam here, you're going to be flipping soon, might as well have dead money. Plus maybe you'll run into JJxx or QJT9 types which should call with the price and you have them about as dead as you can in omaha.
2) Raise I could go either way on, I would limp but it can't be bad to play a bigger pot IP with a good hand. But whatever happens pre you just can't get it in on this board. The first big problem I had in plo was NLHE thinking like "He can't have a 6".
This would be a tough spot heads up (I would try and show down cheap), 4 way give it up, and I mean even if it's checked to the river and we change the river to the 2c and someone bets half the pot. 4 way I would not feel great felting 6543 here although I might with some reads. HE donks would usually raise their bigger PPs, in a limped pot I'd guess you'll see a 6 or full like almost always. Although if they've limped them you can't count on them to fold those, but I assume that wasn't what you were thinking.
For fun I checked and we're only a 2/1 fav vs AKQT!
