I was about to say "4-bet pre + shove any flop" and then I saw that we're 260BB deep. So now I want to know about reads on BB. The only hand I'm worried about is KKxx. Do we think Villain 3-bets it preflop? If not, our equity vs any AAxx but AAKx is pretty good given our pair and our gutshot.

Tough spot, and one where reads really help.
I run a training site...

yeah need stats/reads, vs total unknown I probably just give up although I could see calling one street. I don't like shoving - the only draw you would be worried about is Kxxx making two pair and CO is still around too.

Reads:
He had earlier seen me (tilt)call a $48-bet with AAxx on K972 board and draw out on 77xx on the river. The table has also seen me bluffing into 4 others recently for $17 on the river, getting caugt by a loose caller with two small pairs.

CO likes to call a lot but goes away often if any heavy action comes along.

BB has been calling loose and upsetting some people with aggression with weaker holdings, but he s hard to get a grip on since he also has shown very solid hands. I think he might be out to get me (steaming a bit) at the time of this hand.

I just bought a book on PLO and it says that 4-betting prf here is a bad idea since I will just tell everyone that I have AAxx while leaving too much stack behind and so giving them implied odds to try to catch my AAxx. Opinions on that?

it's been mathematically proven that calling 4bets OOP in PLO is actually a losing proposition. I'm not sure at what point the stack-sizes sway that in the callers favor, but I think w/ the size you're able to make it here (and recent history) that 4betting is profitable and the correct play.

First of all, thank you for answering anyway

Two reasons:
1) I would like general advice on the situation, since I'm really trying to understand the mechanism of play in PLO.
2) My reads needed some thought, and I am unsure how much of these became clear to me after going through my session later, compared to what I actually realized during the play. I also had only this session to go on.

The hand played out by me raising pot quite quickly in a mixture of positive intuition and tilt (I "needed" to win a big pot after several bad beads and some horrible play on my other table..). CO folded and oponent pushed in the rest with KxTT and my AA held all the way.

I logged off shortly after this hand since my play was getting to desperate and I would surely waste money playing on.

The math for 4-betting would be very interesting to know!
