I fold the flop, but I'm kind of nitty about playing huge pots in PLO. You're almost certainly behind on the flop, in all likelihood only drawing to 8 outs, and shipping almost half your stack with the call on the flop. I would be AMAZED if mdavidm doesn't have at the very least: QJ, TT, 99, T8, probably with some of your diamonds, or at worst some combination of those cards (QJTT, QJ99 are a scary thought). He shoves the turn when the 8 hits, I'm thinking you're drawing dead to the case 8 here often enough to salvage your loses. What hands do you beat if he has an 8? K8? Q8? What hands do you beat if he doesn't have an 8 that he'd take the same line with, T9. So you're beating T9, drawing live against QJ, and utterly crushed by every other conceivable hand he has but naked AA/KK. You also only have 3 outs against T8 and 98.

Again, I would've folded the flop, but given the way the hand was played I'd definitely fold the turn.

ARgh you don't have a set you have trips. Big difference b/c a set has a fullhouse.

Set= PP inyour hand, matching card on the board
Trips= matching cards on the board, one in your hand

Preflop is fine, I don't raise marginal semi-wrap drawing hands with a weak ace and one-way flush potential OOP into a multiway pot. IMHO, you need at least 2pair or a made straight with your flush draw or a made set to call that raise on the flop.

Your original flop call of $1 was fine.

Yeah I would fold to the flop raise. The implied odds just aren't there to chase the flush, especially out of position.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Cheers. This advice is all very useful, I'm afraid I'm kinda new to PLO so you can expect alot more fishy questions from me in the near future.
