Villain (45/13/AF2) played relatively aggro postflop. This can't be too bad against an aggro player, short-handed, can it? I figure that likely components of his range are:
- weaker (and stronger sometimes) flush draws in his range
- weird combo draws that I'm usually in good shape against
- an occasional overpair to the board (underpair to me)
- 7xxx
Thoughts?

lately I have been just limping here since he'll call like almost always and we just end up playing a bigger pot OOP with a weak hand.
since he's aggro I would look more to check/call, you're 25/75 vs 7**** vs only 60/40 ahead of a bare NFD and flipping with FD+gutter. You do have worse FDs or like 6543 in pretty bad shape but I don't think he's jamming with those with a pair out. also when you c/c the flop you may even get a free card from a 7 if a scary card comes for it.

Interesting. I'd been limping this a lot, and almost always faced a raise, ending up in a pot where I don't have the initiative and end up looking to set-mine + cooler to get value on the hand.
Raising here was actually mixing it up for me. I'm still not sure which line I prefer though.

If the plan is to bluff 2-3 streets you can do that with or without the initiative and it should work more without it. Because the pre flop values are so similar and the hands flop dependent raising pre doesn't give you the same effect it would in HE.
I raise for 2.5 reasons:
1) playable hand IP (vast majority of raises)
1.5) esp if I have chance to buy button
2) really good hand want to play large pot regardless of position.
neither applies here.
in this spot since he's short another option is limp re raise, then you can shove most flops.
