Early in the session, so no real reads on villain yet. This is the type of AAxx hand I will often smooth call preflop. I'm noticing more 3-betting w/o AAxx now that I've moved to PLO$100, so I'm wondering if that should lead to me making more 3-bets of both...

Anyway, in this hand I didn't reraise because my side cards suck and I didn't want to tip my hand. I could see a check/raise on the flop, but I don't know that I want to blow him off a likely big hand for me (and I don't love life if he shoves, since that is usually JJ). Turn check seems fine since my hand now only has value against draws and the most likely draw is to the flush I already have covered. On the river, a check/raise might be better, but since it was early in the session I have no idea if villain would bet.

TLR is an unknown quantity at this point
Preflop: I think I would reraise here, your sidecards are not great but you have flush and wheel possibilities, and you are better off heads up, so you want BB out

Flop: I think I would bet out this flop, for like $3-4, while you dont want to blow him of the hand you want to build the pot for the later rounds

Turn: c-c is probably the best line here, if he has a J you are screwed and if he doesnt he is folding (he may pay you off with the case 2 but thats about it)

River: I am really curious on what he called you with here, my guess is Ax assuming you are bluffing a busted FD

I would almost never 3b here unless I've been doing it a ton and thought I might get 4 bet. I also disagree we want the hand HU, this is a good multiway hand and we're OOP whatever happens. Sure AA is more likely to win unimproved HU but those will be small pots, if we're going to flop a set or FD+overpair the more the merrier.

Hand looks good to me

In retrospect, I think I should at least pot the river.

Hmm, I dunno about turn bet with no reads. You want to get value from the FDs or you're bluffing?

I do need to sit down any think about what hands I should be leading, I play so nitty from the blinds I don't get much practice.

oh well not necessarily on this turn card, but in general I'd lead flop and just continue rolling on

Well, yeah. If the turn card hadn't been the worst card in the deck for me, I definitely go bet + bet + bet. I have AAxx + A222x + the nut draw. I'm not fearful enough of the JJxx boat to slow down, by any means, unless something very convincing happens in the hand.

Oops. Good point. I could definitely see a bet there being better, just to get better value if opp doesn't turn out to bet.
