I think pocket pairs should cost little and pay loads. I'm not sure if I'm always doing this as well as I should, but I think I played the following mostly ok. Comments please! Last hand is to me the most interesting...
Party Poker 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
Hand 1)
I wanted to represent Ax. My reasoning for not raising the flop is that my hand is very safe and I want villains to KNOW I don't have AA. I'm guessing one has the nine and that will result in action, also think that one of the two will fold if I re-raise - I want both their turn bb first.
Preflop: Hero is Button with A , A .
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, CO calls, Hero raises, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls.
Flop: (9.50 SB) 9 , 9 , A (4 players)
UTG+1 bets, MP2 folds, CO calls, Hero calls.
Turn: (6.25 BB) Q (3 players)
UTG+1 bets, CO calls, Hero raises, UTG+1 3-bets, CO folds, Hero caps, UTG+1 calls.
River: (15.25 BB) 6 (2 players)
UTG+1 bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 3-bets, Hero caps, UTG+1 calls.
Final Pot: 23.25 BB
Hand 2) Pre-flop is standard. Couldn't find a fold on the flop, thought I was ahead of most hands at this stage. Turn, no free cards from me here, if i was check-raised I probably fold. River. I don't expect villain raised pre-flop with a nine. Value bet here and call any re-raise.
Party Poker 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (9 handed)
Preflop: Hero is Button with , .
2 folds, MP1 raises, 2 folds, CO calls, Hero 3-bets, SB caps, 1 fold, MP1 calls, CO calls, Hero calls.
Flop: (17 SB) , , (4 players)
SB bets, MP1 raises, CO calls, Hero calls, SB calls.
Turn: (12.50 BB) (4 players)
SB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, Hero bets, SB folds, MP1 calls, CO folds.
River: (14.50 BB) (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls.
Final Pot: 16.50 BB
Hand 3) Should I cap pre-flop? Flop looks like a safe board and I think I get most value if I wait until the turn to fire. Turn check-raise, risky as villain could have checked behind - but villain was aggression 3 or so. Better to bet out here and hope for a re-raise? River, never getting another chance to cr, have to value bet.
Party Poker 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (9 handed)
Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with , .
1 fold, Hero raises, MP1 3-bets, 6 folds, Hero calls.
Flop: (7.50 SB) , , (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls.
Turn: (4.75 BB) (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero raises, MP1 calls.
River: (8.75 BB) (2 players)
Hero bets, MP1 folds.
Final Pot: 8.75 BB
Hand 4) Should I bet this river?
Party Poker 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with , .
Hero raises, 1 fold, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, 3 folds, BB calls.
Flop: (10.50 SB) , , (5 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, BB calls.
Turn: (6.75 BB) (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls, BB calls.
River: (9.75 BB) (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks.
Final Pot: 9.75 BB
Results in white below:
BB doesn't show.
Hero has Jc Jh (one pair, jacks).
MP2 doesn't show.
Outcome: Hero wins 9.75 BB.
Hand 5) Pre-flop I sometimes fold here, sometimes call = leak? I bet the turn to force a better hand to fold. No fold. Should I bet the river as well?
Party Poker 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (8 handed)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 2 , 2 .
5 folds, Button calls, SB raises, Hero calls, Button calls.
Flop: (6 SB) 4 , 6 , 3 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Button checks.
Turn: (3 BB) 8 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Button folds, SB calls.
River: (5 BB) 9 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.
Final Pot: 5 BB
Results in white below:
SB has Kh Qh (high card, king).
Hero has 2c 2d (one pair, twos).
Outcome: Hero wins 5 BB.
Hand 6) To me this is the one I have the biggest questions on. Pre-flop I think is standard. Feel like I have to bet the flop with an overpair given that nobody raised pre-flop. When they call I'm thinking flush/ gutshot straight draws with the ace, 44. Six on turn, I have to bet my set. Then two more bb to call the turn, I was certain I was behind at this stage and took about five seconds to decide. My thinking here - 2bb into what will be an 11bb pot, I have ten clean outs (3x2, 3x3, 3x5, 6) so even if the pot doesn't grow I should call. And if I hit the pot will definitely be growing. River call was spew.
Party Poker 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (8 handed)
Preflop: Hero is SB with 6 , 6 .
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.
Flop: (5 SB) 2 , 5 , 3 (5 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls.
Turn: (4 BB) 6 (3 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, MP2 3-bets, Hero calls, BB calls.
River: (13 BB) Q (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, MP2 calls, Hero calls.
Final Pot: 16 BB
Results in white below:
Hero has 6c 6d (three of a kind, sixes).
BB has Kd 4c (straight, six high).
MP2 has 4d 9d (straight, six high).
Outcome: BB wins 8 BB. MP2 wins 8 BB.

Hand 1: I usually just raise the flop.
Hand 2: 3-bet the flop.
Hand 3: I usually play this flop fast.
Hand 4: Bet the river
Hand 5: Fine
Hand 6: Sometimes check/raise this flop to get it heads-up. Fold to 2 bets cold on the turn. The river call is really silly.

Small pot and risk of a cap (particularly online!), I don't think he has odds. You can do the math and prove me wrong. It's pretty obvious someone has a straight.

He's getting better than 4:1 if we worry about a cap (13:3) , that's still profitable if all his outs are clean. If he hits on the river, more bets are going in, and if he misses he's not putting in any more.
