Just a poll to see what you should have done.

PP 0.5/1
Loose half-passive player, VPIP > 85%, calls from UTG+1.
Everyone else folds to you tat is on the button with KJo.
SB, BB both Tight passive with VPIP around 25-25.

Even though KJ is one of those hands that loses ALOT of value when it's offsuit, I still probably raise there as you potentially have the best hand. VPIP > 85% means I'm raising any ace or king against him, and you're against the blinds.

I would probably raise also, just to get rid of the blinds, and to setup the flop play. Even if you miss the flop, he may check to you because of the raise, then you can bet and maybe take it down. If he bets into you, you can raise. You have position against a loose/pas push it.

No-brainer raise. I would only limp with 3+ limpers in front, 2+ limper and loose blinds or if I'm dealing with a REALLY REALLY REALLY bad calling station (takes ANYTHING to the river.)

Yeah when I was writing it started to feel like an too easy raise question. Should have at least put him in as a Calling station also.

with an UTG+1 limp, I'd strongly suspect I had the best King AND the best Jack so far. So pairing either of those would make me a heavy favorite. Aces appearing obviously make this an easy muck if a passive opp gives you heat.

should a queen appear it's not too bad 'cause you'll often get a str8 draw and you've juiced the pot a bit for that.

last: when in doubt, raise.

BTW i don't mean to hijack your thread, but if I'm wrong about this stuff I want someone to let me know Big Time. I recently got rolled up for 2/4 but won't play it until I look very closely at my whole game.
