Here's a hand from last night. I'd like to get some opinions on what you guys would do from here.
I'm multi-tabling so I don't have a read on MP3
Results will be posted later.
Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed)
Preflop: mike4066 is CO with Q , Q .
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, mike4066 raises, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+2 calls, MP3 calls.
Flop: (10 SB) 5 , 7 , 5 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+2 checks, MP3 checks, mike4066 bets, SB folds, BB calls, UTG+2 calls, MP3 raises, mike4066 3-bets, BB folds, UTG+2 folds, MP3 caps, mike4066 calls.
Turn: (10 BB) 5 (2 players)
MP3 bets, mike4066 .... (i changed hte color to blue so you guys don't get any hints on what I did)
After reading poker tracker, MP3 is a typical 67% VP$IP fish. Never met an Ace he didn't like, any 2 soooted will.
With this information would your play change?

His play looks exactly like he's got 77 or a 5 in the hole, but he could also make this play with any 7. With the size of that pot, I'm either calling or raising, probably calling.

I would doubt he has the 5. Most people in that situation at low limit tables tend to slow play a flopped set and try to raise the turn. So, I would put him on the 7 or maybe a pocket pair(probably not higher than TT based on no preflop raise). I would raise the turn and if I got reraised, I'd just go ahead and call it down.

damn...very tough decision
if he actually had a hand then he played this like a pro. calls the preflop raise, knowing many callers will be afterwards, so his pockets will score huge if they hit. with so many players still in the pot, he tries for a check-raise, very sure at least someone will bet. finally you bet, he's happy, both cap, he's even happier.
turn...he knows you've got too much money in the pot already, so there's no more reason to slowplay.
NOW....clear fold if this player was good. but since he could be a fish....hmmm.
well, for only 2 bucks more i would call the turn, and then call the river.

call the turn, call the river. your queens suddenly don't look so good, so slow down. but definitely don't fold.
i'm agreeing with nehmer - i don't think he has the 5. he'd probably try to be tricky if he did.
i'd guess small to mid pocket pair, or A7. 77 would suck!

Just call it down. If you have a good read you can pop him one more time.

Really? I'd cap 88/99 on the flop.

Despite the thread title, I misread the hand and thought the flop was the turn and the turn was the river
I agree that this isn't how most people play trips or a set. I'd have to look at PT aggression numbers to decide if there's a chance I've got him beat.

Well I took the Aggressive route and I raised the turn only to be 3 bet.
He could be 3 betting his 7 here though, or even 88 who knows, I will when I call him down.
Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (10 handed)
Preflop: mike4066 is CO with Q , Q .
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, mike4066 raises, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, UTG+2 calls, MP3 calls.
Flop: (10 SB) 5 , 7 , 5 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+2 checks, MP3 checks, mike4066 bets, SB folds, BB calls, UTG+2 calls, MP3 raises, mike4066 3-bets, BB folds, UTG+2 folds, MP3 caps, mike4066 calls.
Turn: (10 BB) 5 (2 players)
MP3 bets, mike4066 raises, MP3 3-bets, mike4066 calls.
River: (16 BB) 2 (2 players)
MP3 bets, mike4066 calls.
Final Pot: 18 BB
Results in white below:
MP3 has Ac 5c
The case 5 and Mike4066 loses.
This hand wasn't posted just because I lost to quads. That happens no biggie. It was posted because when it happened I went through alot of thought as to what was going on.
On the flop:
I figured him for a pocket pair, 66, 88,99,TT or a 5. I really believe 77 would be slow played. AA/KK I would expect a PFR, or a limp raise, so i'm putting those on the back burner.
On the turn:
When the 3rd 5 hit the board I pretty dropped the idea of him having a 5.
Now he's either betting 77 to make 7's full. (which i don't belive based on his flop cr)
Or he has a 7 for 5's full of 7's.
I have the 5's full of whatever beat.
So there are 2 hands possible here that I can not beat. 77 or x5.
I'm not afraid of the quads, and 77 doesn't seem right.
Most logical thought for me would be 99, or a 7. No early position preflop raise, but definatly strong engough to call 1/2 bet once your already in.

You shouldn't play so many .5/1 tables that you don't have any reads. Consider moving up or moving to 6 max (PokerStars offers a wide range of 6 max limits.) Either will make you a better player in the long run.

Fnord,
I usually don't multi to the point I can't have reads on people. Last night just happened to be an execption. I was running 4 tables trying to get enough raked hands for the $7500 freeroll Empire is having on thursday.
6max is only a 1/2 game on EP. Right now don't have the backing to support it. If I were to move to 6max I'd want well over 300bb's.

You (and Fishstick) might want to try cherry picking the next level up, or PokerStars .5/1 6 max. You guys got the skillz.
Full ring against terrible players you can camp out cards/flops so strong that it's like taking an automatic rifle to a herd of lemmings. Blind defense is almost a non-factor. 6 max teaches you how to use a bayonet when you run out of bullets...

I did move up to 1/2 and I have played 1/2 6max on EP.
The results were fine, but over the last week or two I've been in a funk where I can't lay down a hand. It only affects my limit holdem game I figured I'd go back to .5/1 until I can pull my head out of my ass.
1/2 (6 max) I only put in about 500 hands + $100 figured I'd stop while I was ahead, and until I can figure out why i'm playing like shit in other games.
1/2 (3500 hands) Nothing special here, barely beating it. Had a really cold start coupled with typical low limit suck outs. Began 1/2 on my first -50 bb swing Came back and realized I was still in some funk where I can't lay down a hand.. Thats when I went back to .5/1. I figured If i'm going to call down everything in the world I might as well do it where it won't break me.
Also last night I figure since I was trying to power through raked hands by 4 tabling I'd better do it where noone else is paying attention either
Bah, i'm rambling......
