SB is a donk running 40/10 and a big loser. Has c/r'ed semi-bluffed the turn twice with naked flush draws on boards where he was never getting a fold. How bad is the over call on the river? I mean, if I'm BB with my hand I'm raising the river hoping to fold out a better hand behind me.

Im putting SB on a whiffed bd FD. Am I always behind the BB here? Probably negligible as it's 1 frickin bet and I'm getting 12:1. I wish the pot was smaller so there could be a better debate.

Ultimate Bet 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K, Q.
1 fold, Hero raises, 2 folds, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) K, 9, T (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 4 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, BB calls, Hero calls.

River: (10.50 BB) 8 (3 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13.50 BB

BB could realistically have a hand like KJ or AT that he doesn't want to let go of. Him calling 2 cold on the turn is kind of odd, but I can't really see the BB having a huge hand here.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

As played. I think you can't overcall on the river here. If either player had AK, they'd have raised here I think.

Since top pair holds out and wins by the river 1/2 of the time, and you represent 1/3 of the pot, I'd be pretty willing to raise. If SB weren't a nuklear donk, I'd only call. But Here I just feel like I have the best hand.

BB's stats would give us a clearer image here concerning whether or not you're behind. If he's a calling station I'm definitely raising here. If he's a NIT I don't make it past the turn.
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

On the turn- CHECK. What can beat you here:
AT/AK/99/TT/KK/AA/JQ/87/K9/KT/T9??? 108 total hands.

I put them both on hands such as maybe Kx or some medium-small PP.

Like your river play though as played. If you'd check turn, check or call betting on river to go to showdown.

?

If you are thinking of it that way, there are 108 hands that could have you beat out of 1,326 hands.... 8.1%.

If SB is calling 40% of the time, we have him beat 75% of the time. Remember, up to your decision on the turn, there has been no indication that anyone has a strong hand with both players c/c'ing the flop and checking to you on the turn.. You are worried that the SB is holding the 25% of his range that may beat you because of what?

I'm not checking the turn.

As far as your overcall on the river. How does the BB play? Decent? Is he thinking along similar lines as you are? Could he be calling down the SB like you?

Normally, I'd be looking to get out of the after the SB c/r into two players and the BB is calling two cold. But if you think you have a read on the SB and BB, then that is your call. I'm inclined to fold, but the pot is pretty big and you only have to be ahead 8% to make it a profitable river call. Going with your maniac-sh read on the SB, I think it comes down to your read on the BB... Would he only call down two pair or a straight? Or could he be calling KJ or Kx? Would he have donked the flop with top pair? Tough! If you think the BB is Weak/L-P/CallingStation, I probably make the a crying overcall just because of the 12:1 pot size.
