I have virtually have no SNG experience. I want to start playing limit SNG's.
Ok, go ahead and flame me now.
I've read the SNG strategy guides in the stickies. How does general strategy differ from Limit and NL SNG's?
I was just hoping to get some discussion from people who may have played both.

I have played 2 limit SNGs and won both. How? Aggression and sucking out.

I have a little experience with limit SnG's. In the start of a limit SnG, when blinds are small in relation to your stack you have two ways you can approach your play. You can play tight is right, like many do in no-limit SnG's or you can can be a little more loose and play more drawing hands. If you play more drawing hands, be careful about playing the low end of a straight or a lower flush since you can't bet people out of the pot.
In the later stages when the blinds are large in realation to the stack size play becomes more like a no-limit SnG. You are looking to steel blinds to keep you stack up and extract the maxmium from your good hands.
Of course, ultimatly you need to be comfortable with limit poker, something I need work on. For that, see the resident experts in the limit forum.

the weird thing about tournaments is that chip EV is not $EV. a play like building the pot with your draws will make you alot of chips in the long run, but will probably cost you $ when you have one of those days where you don't hit any draws. in general, just be more careful putting chips in the pot even when you think you are probably ahead. hope that helps.

Who is the 500 lb. one here?
I knew you were smart, but I had no idea you were omniscient.
I also knew 'rilla couldn't resist a topic with a title like that.
