4-6 tables is the way to go. Not only does it increase the hands/hour, but your forced to play tight, because you dont have time to play the trash hands. Work your way up, start with 2 tables and add one at a time. You'll get the hang of it.

IMHO
2 tables is easy
3 takes a little effort
4 requires some practice
more than that requires a lot of focus

I can't really play online at only one table anymore as I find it too boring and start playing trash hands too often. I personally find that I do best with 2-3 tables. I can play ok at 4 tables if I need to in order to quickly work off a bonus, but would never be able to handle more than 4 tables and play well at all.

Depends, of course.
Lower limits like 2/4, 3/6, 5/10 i play multiple tables since the play is more predictable and the money isn't really large enough to focus properly...i find, at least. When I play 15/30, 30/60 definately only one table, scout it out beforehand to find the 1-2 suckers on the table etc.
