This was a shock to me when I saw the numbers. I was making a vid for the FTR contest (made it tooooo long) and this hand came up
Hero $32.62
SB $40
UTG $25
Hero is Button with :Ks: :Kc:
5 limps see a flop of :Kh:
2 checks UTG bets $1.25, CO calls, Hero raises to $6.25, SB raises to $22.50, BB folds, UTG is all-in $23.54, CO folds announcing 77, Hero raises to $32.37, SB calls.
SB has:

UTG has:
:Td: :Jd:
Here is the FTR odds calculator for the 3 hands, I've taken into consideration the 2 dead 7s.
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Ks 6s Kc 3h 162 27.23 433 72.77 0 0.00 0.272
Jd Td 9d 8h 161 27.06 434 72.94 0 0.00 0.271
8s 6c 5c 4d 272 45.71 323 54.29 0 0.00 0.457

Sure I can
The guy times down and types 77 and folds. Of course 77 is the easiest fold ever right there.
BTW, Im still quite a dog to the lower straight and flush draw with the 2 7's in the deck I just thought it was interesting that I was nearly a dog against both with top set on the flop.

more of the story: KKXX is not that great a starting hand. See how the EV changes if you have
The 2 dead 7s hardly matter, right? Oh, they are boat outs for you.
The odds of you being up against _BOTH_ wrap draws are pretty small. More likely a wrap and 2 flush draws (1 nut), or

Call preflop. You don't want to be re-raising a weakish KKxxss and open yourself up to a huge 3bet by AAxx or an 89TJ type of hand. Just call and play a flop with position.

Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
