Last night I finished clearing my empire bonus and was feeling a little frisky so I decided to move up a level and play at a 1/2 table. This is the very first hand I played. My question is if you think I should have raised on the flop. My thoughts at the time were to just call and try to keep the two who had yet to act from folding. I didnt want a raise war until a more expensive round of betting. Is this the right thought process in this situation. As a funny aside my wife finished watching american idol right after this hand so I wanted to quit and go to bed with her. Played the one hand and then left... talk about taking the money and running. Thanks in advance for any comments good or bad.

you played it fine. raising the turn when the bets double is more profitable.

Not when worse hands are more likely to cold call and 3-bet on the flop. It's closer than you'd think. I would probably pop the flop here. Either way, how you play this hand isn't too important in the grand scheme of things.

So your point here is that there are other situations that cost you more OR that it's hard to misplay this one, or both, or other?
