I guess I deserve it 'cause I actually completed a couple draws today and profited damn near $6...

I wouldn't raise this preflop. In a blind war I don't mind flop or turn. For the river, I would bet/call and expect to see a high pocket pair, lower flush or a set more often than the K or A of hearts.

bet the river.

LTrain, it's not a blind war. I think that he has enough equity to raise preflop here, not that I do it all the time

Right, not completely, but just in terms of the flop and turn.

Once again the last two posts are off topic, he is not asking about his pf play, he wants to know how to play this river. I go ahead and bet as your hand should be best. If you are told otherwise by a raise then I think you just call and see you are beat. In no way do you fold unless you have to cold call 2 or more bets here, then you know u are dead.

No one likes check-call?
The only lower flush I can see 3betting PF is exactly
with another eight

9-Q are out..

We answered his river question, if it were me, I would appreciate any advice someone would be willing to give.

On the follow up question, since there are only two cards that beat me, I like a bet/call. Most hands are calling, including lower hearts, sets, straights, overpairs, two pairs or someone thinking we are just bluffing a clarkmeister. Unlike other scenarios, even someone knowing they are beat will make a crying call because of pot odds. Most hands will also check through if given the chance; the probability of an attempted bluff to our check call are slim. We are ahead more than 50% of the time here, so we should bet/call the river.

Ex. Why doesn't A,Qo with a non heart Ace play exactly the same way?
