10/20 limit Live action at the Borgata, atlantic city this weekend
Ive got 10 10, I raise prefolp and get reraised, I call
3 players to the flop
Flop K Q J, rainbow
I figure ive got a few clean outs, I call 1 bet
turn 10
Now I know Im behind.
bet and a raise to me, probably should have folded, but i still figured Ive got outs so I call 40.........reraise and cap behind me.......oops
Now the smart thing to do would be fold, but it was a very large pot at this point and Ive got alot of outs....2 aces, 3 kings, 3 jacks, 3 queens and the last 10......10 outs for the win and 2 for the 3way chop......I guess I'm just too stubborn or too stupid to lay this down....so I call another 40.
Turn J
WooooHooooo!
I bet out, 2 callers......MHIG!
I really put those two on immediate tilt.
Ooops. I felt really bad while I was stacking my chips.
Anyone else have any "good" bad beat stories to share or comments on this one??

I dont think checkraising the river would have worked based on my reaction to getting trapped for 2 more BB on the turn, I think I made it obvious I wasn't happy about it, so they would have had to put me on 2 pair or a set, and might have been hesitant to put in a river bet if I checked to them.

re: the original hand
I play it the same (execpt I *might* c/r the river.) Great example of smart chasing being profitable in limit.

I personally agree with betting out on the river. Might have missed a bet there. Nice hand.

The other night we were playing and I was catching the coldest cards ever, and I was getting down to a little more than twice the BB so I had to make a move... I got dealt Q9 which is amazingly better than anything I'd hit within an hour and a half, so I went all in and got 1 caller with AA. The flop comes A/K/10, turn was some rag, and I hit J on the river to make a straight. This guy went on total tilt afterwards
