Surprised to have not seen a thread yet here, I'll create one. Recently Party made an announcement to increase the rake on its tables to support MTT tournaments, or something. I'm not all that up on it.

Anyway, you players that play on party and have stats, could you post some examples of how much the rake has affected your winrate?

Here's what to do: 1) take a sample before Party switched to Monster tables, either your entire sample or whatever. Take the rake paid and divide it by the number of hands and you'll get your rake per hand.

2) Take a sample from when after Party switched to the Monster tables, and see how much your rake is per hand now. I'm interested to see how the winrates have changed per limit (should be 2/4 and up). Full ring players don't feel obliged to post.

up to monster:

3/6: 35,850 hands, $5,077 rake, -> $0.14/hand
5/10: 11,402 hands, $2,420 rake, -> $0.21/hand

since monster:

5/10: 2,243 hands, $587.50 rake, -> $0.26/hand

I haven't been avoiding the monster tables, but haven't been solely playing them either. All 5/10 hands are this month, yes I am lazy.

Rakeback softens the blows.

it's gonna be about a $0.03-0.09/hand increase i think at 5/10 that is...

the lower you go in stakes the worse it gets...

I have been trying to avoid playing the monster tables, but they are taking over; very frustrating. So much so I may consider moving to a different site. At 2/4-3/6, especially shorthanded, the extra rake is almost too much of an impact to justify playing, even with really bad players.

yea... at 2/4 you're looking at almost a full BB when caped $3.5 EEWWW

3/6 isn't so bad but you really see the effects once you get to 5/10 and down...

10/20 and up is not effected so much it will hurt that bad it might come to like $0.01-0.05/hand which at higher levels isn't much...

at 5/10 it gets effected and anything below that gets worse...

10/20 its still another .04 per hand or so. Equivalent to a .25 BB/100 decrease.

It is that way across the board looks like, the games are still beatable though.
