Newer to Omaha h/l. Can you comment on how I played this hand. Not sure I was supposed to raise it like I did.
When you have top set are you supposed to cap the pot?

It's not how many pots you win, it's what's in them that counts.

I think turn is fine, you're multiway. So even though you're splitting the pot you have positive equity.

Prelop: I think with so many limpers limping instead of raising preflop is fine
Flop: Played good
Turn: with 4 people calling the action on the flop and the low hitting I would slow down, someone and maybe more then one has A4 and is freerolling to str or flush. If the board was rainbow I would not mind the capping, but with the FD I would just call the turn
River: I think with a bet and a raise before you it is a fold, there is basically no hand that MP2 can raise with that you beat, he probably has the nut flush

Exactly right. River was the 5h giving some one nut flush and nut low. If it was only one or two callers would you cap the turn?

what????????
cap the turn to maximize your equity against all the low hands that cant fold and to charge the flush draws.

I assume pot is split 100%, action is 3 way, so for every $1 you put in the pot you stand to win $0.5, so:
1.5x +0(1-x)=1
x = 66.6%, so you need to win the high hand 2/3 of the time to break even
by the turn I assume we know about 10 cards, our 4 cards, 4 community cards and A4.
42 cards remain
42*1/3 = 14
so you need 14 cards or less to be bad for you in order to make the raise profitable
9 hearts are bad for us (all hearts but 8 and 3)
3 non heart 5 are bad for us
Other then that A,4,6 and to a lesser extend 7,Q and K are bad for us
I think that A,4,5,7,Q,K represent more then 2 cards that are bad for us, making raising an ev- move
