Hi guys,
I need some advice on moving up in my B&M game (not online). I have been playing at our local Indian B&M casino for the past 3 months (almost everyday for the past 1 and a half). I feel that I am doing ok at these levels and dont get intimidated by almost any player at this level. I want to move up to 3-6 and from what I have seen standing by the rail, these tables has the exact same makeup of players as 2-4, fish aplenty. I have heard from others too that 3-6 plays exactly same as 2-4, only bigger bets.

Please look at my stats and let me know if I can move up. I plan to move up from early next month.

Since this is live play and no pokertracker stats available I will report whatever i have recorded.

Stats:
Game: 2-4$
Total Profit: $ 948
Total Hours: 135.55
$/hour 6.99
BB/hour 1.74

* 6 losing sessions in 54 sessions of play.
* Have lost more than 25 BB on each of 7 sessions.
* won more than 25 BB on each of 8 sessions.

Important note: My current bankroll is 1100$ (however I can put 500$ more in it if you feel that I am under bankrolled).

total winnings in last 3 months: $1386 (I started logging hours and profits only 1 month 5 days back. this total profit happened in last 3 months since I started playing)

I always thought that to crush a game one must be making more than 2-3 BB an hour so I am definitely not crushing it . However, is it just overconfidence because I feel that compared to the opposition, I am playing it well at this level.

I have always recieved wonderful advice from guys at this forum . Please help me out again

For god sakes move up! The 2/4 live rake is oppressive.

4/8 and 5/10 play at the casino is similar to a really nice 2/4 table online. Fish will always be there.

move up just for the sake of rake. IMO, live 5/10 plays much worse than party 2/4...at least n vegas it does. The 15/30 game i played in every day was a spitting image of a party 2/4 game.

at the B&M, there is an endless supply of fish. Like others have said, move up for all the reasons they've said. And in the words of my brother, "3/6 is just full of the players that were too impatient to wait for a 2/4 table." IE...just as many fish...maybe even more.

And FYI, the players are better at UB 5/10 cent than live 2/4. It's sad and pathetic.

It seems like you've been making fairly steady progress at 2/4...something I haven't been able to do. Just watch that bankroll carefully because you have under 200 BB. If you notice it starts to slip, just be aware of it. Not saying you should move back down, but keep an eye on it.
