First real post on here so I though i'd try to make it a good one!
I have just started playing FR Limit cash online and did quite well working from a generic hand chart, i've moved to a stage where Im v comfortable enough to play 4+ tables without the chart and also following my instincts when guidence seems inappropriate.
It was a pretty simple pre flop hole card guide; EP, MP, LP, Vs No Raise, 1 Raise, RR'd pot. Obviously incorporated calling/raising/folding hands to a very tight agg range.
I am now up for developing my own range to suit the type of hands I like playing, sticking to a tag mindset.
I am considering doing a different range for every single position on the FR table? its the same principle as EP, MP, LP but just in more detail. Is this worth the hassle? Especially If i intend to tweak it by no raise, 1 raise, rr'd pots as well as # of opponents in the pot?
thanks

It's good to have a good guideline.
If i were you, i'd take one of the existing charts and tweak it a bit to your style. I wouldn't deviate extremely though (you should deviate based on reads, meta game, style of table, stakes... not as a basis)
Most of the existing ones already are made seat by seat (see stox, bauer-mak-tannenbaum, sklansky, miller...)
At some point i printed stox table, but only use it for reference and in acute cases of tilt.

those charts are for exactly what you are using them for....guidance. once comfortable, you will start to vary slightly yourself. you will factor in WAY too many dynamic criteria like: opponent's style, opponent's position, your position, number of players already in, WHO limped, steal/re-steal opportunities, etc. there are simply too many things to draw up an all-encompassing chart for. at some point, you need to adjust that range accordingly to all these factors.
in other words, dont worry so much about PREflop charts. they are training wheels to get you to a competent point quickly.
focus much more on the post flop things now that you are somewhat comfortable preflop. POST flop is where the money is made. its no coincidence that the bet sizes double there.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!
