Since I'm not looking for analysis on how I played the hand, I went ahead and posted the results. I'm really just curious what you guys do in situations like this...

Texas Hold'em $0.25-$0.50 (real money), hand #598,141,236
Table Leon, 25 Jan 2005 12:58 PM

Seat 1: BennySax ($3.10 in chips)
Seat 2: BDvinsanity ($8.90 in chips)
Seat 4: truetrue22x ($24.30 in chips)
Seat 6: Cornro31 ($4.80 in chips)
Seat 7: CQO ($14.20 in chips)
Seat 8: Montimus [6S,7S] ($8.75 in chips)
Seat 10: LMac15 ($9 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
Cornro31 posts blind ($0.10), CQO posts blind ($0.25), LMac15 posts blind ($0.25).

PRE-FLOP
Montimus calls $0.25, LMac15 checks, BennySax calls $0.25, BDvinsanity calls $0.25, truetrue22x folds, Cornro31 calls $0.15, CQO checks.

RIVER [board cards 10S,JS,9C,8D,4C ]
Cornro31 checks, CQO checks, Montimus bets $0.50, Cornro31 calls $0.50, CQO folds.

SHOWDOWN
Montimus shows [ 6S,7S] [7S,8S,9C,10S,JS]
Cornro31 mucks cards [ 10D,JD ][JD, JS, 10D, 10S, 9C]
Montimus wins $5.70.

I normally don't like playing the bottom end of a straight, but my table image thus far had been pretty tight, and since I didn't get reraised, I figured I must have had the best of it...add to that the fact I still had a small flush draw on the turn...

As I for instance...let's say I get reraised on the turn...should I still call this one down, even if I miss the flush on the river?

you have the 2nd nuts, reraise. if you don't lose a lot of money with 2nd nuts, you didn't play them right.

Actually, I would have had 3rd nuts.

1st=9-K
2nd=8-Q
3rd=7-J

I like medium and above suited connectors in both limit and NL. This particular table was pretty passive, so I figured I'd be able to see a cheap flop and muck if it I whiff. I typically play suited connectors 5/6 and above that way, sometimes raising them from late position.

When I flop my flush, the other guy is going ot have to show me his higher flush. When I flop my straight, I'm gonna make someone pay me to see the rest of the cards. When a45 flops and I have 67 and 4 to a flush, AK is going to pay ME off.

When I miss my flop, I muck it.

Sure, it may be -EV in EP, but given the right table conditions, I'll call suited connectors all night long for the minimum bet.

You won't get rich playing suited connectors from EP in all but the most loose/passive of games. Suited connectors are way over-rated.

And that's exactly the type of game I've described in the above log.
