Am I the only one thinking that the raise preflop is bad? Or is this offset by the fact he's playing really small limits?

Its my post and even I agree with you.

But I have a couple reasons for doing this.

(Ofcourse, I am only pretending to know what I am talking about)

1st is more of a NL play, but I still apply it sometimes in limit.
If I am going to play a hand, 26o or AA I will raise preflop.
(I do this to project authority)

2nd I had played this table for about 40 hands and bought 5 or 6 blinds with just a single preflop raise of only 10cents.

3rd and most rookie of all. It is only 10cents. If I miss, I can fold and no big deal. This is really a habit I need to get away from as I don't want to start throwing good money to bad.

I also think this is why kimidead138 continued to call my bets and raises. he/she was thinking either I was bluffing or he/she had AQs and was looking for the straight.

Thanks
Bumper

How often do you raise in LP with Axs instead of calling? Your hand plays extremely well multiway and you are really playing for straight and flush power. Build that pot!!!
