I should have raised preflop!
I really need to stop playing like a sissy

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8, 8.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (5 SB) A, 8, 4 (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets, SB folds, BB calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 folds.

Turn: (4 BB) 3 (3 players)
BB bets, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, BB calls.

River: (12 BB) 6 (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 14 BB

Results in white below:
BB has 2c 5d (straight, six high).
Hero has 8c 8h (three of a kind, eights).
Outcome: BB wins 14 BB.

Hmm i ussually don't raise lower pocket pairs. The guy wouldn't go away. Add him to your list and take his money next time.

Pre-flop is fine. One of the blinds catches something that is drawing dead to your set and pays you off much more often than something like this happening.

I don't know why you guys are labeling BB a fish. He made one marginal flop call and the rest of his play is solid.

In fact if I was BB I'd play it exactly the same.

Marginal? He needed runner runner to hit any sort of hand, id say thats worse than marginal. And three betting the OESD on the turn was dumb too.

Im not exactly sure what drawing to the wheel means, but he's got 4 outs to hit the river, which means he needs 22:1 to call (I believe)

I guess you don't play much Omaha Hi/Lo, huh?

A-5 is the wheel straight.
