I have a question about multi-tabling. How do you guys efficiently multi-table more than 2 tables. I have found myself multi-tabling the 1/2- 3/6 games at Gamesgrid lately. I feel that I have no trouble multi-ing 2 tables but as soon as I get to 3, I start to become like a machine, since there's so much going on at once. I can't watch the other players at the table as closely with 3 or more tables.

I have some stats here.....very low sample, and you're all going to scream at me for this, but I think its somewhat important. What should I do here:

2 tabling 1/2-3/6 tables I'm up $225 in 12 hours of 2-tabling.

3 tabling 1/2- 3/6 tables I'm down $80 in 10 hours of 3-tabling.
(2 week sample)
Granted my flops weren't cooperating during those sessions, but seeing as though I'm making ~$18 / hr 2-tabling, should I just say to hell with 3-tabling for now ? or should I work on it so that I can get better and make even more per hour.

First of all, by all the reports I've heard the Gamesgrid games are full of medicore players chasing the bonus. Not as many of the truely terrible players you'll find at other sites.

Second, your sample sizes are too small.

The way I've gotten a gague on this is just counting errors I've made that I would not have made playing only 1 table. Running 4 tables I make about 1 error per hour or two, although I'm getting better. When I throw in the 5th table I know that rate goes up. I really think it comes down to how many hands you can play at a time. I can run 2 pretty well, once a 3rd one comes up it gets hecktic and sometimes I'll lose track of the action.

I can play 2 tables with almost no problem, but I find it nearly impossible to play 3 tables. Every once in a while I'll be in a hand on all 3 tables and they keep popping up asking me what I want to do and I haven't decided what to do before another one pops up. Then I make mistakes like I don't realize there's 4 to the flush on the board and he's raising...

So I stick to 2 tables or less. I play on UB though...I don't know what everyone else thinks, but I think the action at UB is pretty quick. Party poker is sooooo slooooow. I could probably manage 3-4 at party poker since everyone takes 20 seconds to decide what they want to do.

You guys see that pic of the guy 12 tabling with 4 LCD screens? That's just crazy.

Pacific Poker is a lot worse.

BTW, are you guys running at least 1600x1200? I can't run more than 2 tables without it.

2-tabling i run at 1084 x 7-something . 3 or 4 tabling I have to run at 1600 x 1200 so that the 4 tables don't overlapp

I use 1280x960 because it's the highest I can go before things start to get blurry on my 19" monitor.

With 2 or more tables, I don't try to make room for all of them, I just have them overlap.

also, what does everyone think of the miniview at UB? I can't stand it...just makes it harder for me to understand what's going on. But 4 tables would easily fit on 1 screen.

Hi Shark Bait

General consensus is that UB is tough, and Party/Empire is much easier.
Having played both, I agree. If you are beating UB, you should do even better at Party (IMO). Especially of your are using PokerTracker.

Way easier to find loose players on Party.

I can 4 table party at 1360x1024, the refresh rate at 1600x1200 isn't good for me, i need a 2nd monitor. I think my VP$IP is about 17% so i don't usually have more than 2 hands to play at once, and party is indeed very slow sometimes, i don't see why the timelimit is so long, who needs 30s preflop to make a decision.

i was a UB player that switched to party poker... one thing that does take awhile to get used to is the frequency and intensity of bad beats... other then that its easy bling.

I don't have the money for $0.50/$1 ...yet

And I just took a nice $20 downswing at 25/50 cent so it's going to be a while.

And the rake's at party poker suck. UB is never more than 5%
