Hand 1 : 99 on the button with 1 limper then a raise. Is this a situation where a Cold Call pf is OK ?

Probably not. I realize now that this was too loose of a call with only two in the pot before me. Of course, UTG+1's PF loose limp with J8o was rewarded in this case (that's poker. Too bad he left the table after this hand. Would've liked to have gone an orbit or two with him around). Him capping the turn should've raised the red flag. Actually, I was too busy paying attention to MP2. When he just called the river I had him on a big PP. I forgot to consider what UTG+1 might have.

Interesting hands, especially taken together.

Hand 1: This preflop situation is very interesting ... I consider folding, calling, and raising to all be reasonable options depending on the table/opponents. If the raiser is a tight raiser, and the SB and BB are likely to fold, I think this needs to be folded. If the the raiser is tight or loose, but there is a very good chance SB and BB will both call, I think a cold call here could be the best play, but if any of the 3 left to act are aggressive preflop raisers, I'd lean toward the fold. If the raiser is loose, and those left to act are likely to fold if you re-raise, especially UTG+1, I like a reraise here to try to isolate the loose raiser.
There is a lot of action after the flop, and with a bet and raise before you on the turn, I gotta think there's a very good chance both the opponents have either a made hand or a very strong draw. The question is, what is the likelihood of 68, j8, or TT compared to 77, T9, 97, T7, A8d, K8d, Q8d, Jxd. Once the river card hits, and any 8 now makes the straight, I don't want to raise.

In Hand 2, postflop, we have a completely different situation. With it heads up on the turn, it's bet or try for a check-raise. There are more hands that we beat here than beat us. A flush draw is less likely than usual because of the flop 3-bet ... many players would not want to push people out of the pot and pay more to see if the draw comes in. I think you value bet this until the opponent shows continued aggression. And even then, a turn raise from many players could just as likely mean they have a hand like KT as that they have the flush. I don't even think about backing down here until I'm reraised.
