more 80%ers and passive, too. how hard do we play this?? is this a b/c on river, or was c/c fine given how much this looks like a flush with two chasers in?

1) I prolly cap the flop because our hand is that strong. The only reason not to cap the flop is to c/r the turn but you need a spewy villian for that.
2) This is NL so not sure. But you have the virtual nuts so i'd go AI on the turn. Any 8 is going to call and you'll get some stupid bluff-catching calls too.

1) Full speed a head until that river. I find an overcall there in a pot that big. If only because folding a winner may tilt me and cause more than a 1BB loss afterwards
2) This is LHE but it converted funny it looks like. I donk-3bet the turn as if to show I have a hand like 77 or 99 trying to see if the opp has the 8. I don't like checking on the chance that he is on a flush draw. He will often check behind a flush draw with 2 overs there, causing us to miss a bet. Then obv bet that river and hope you get raised

you should know me better than to post NL hands in a LHE forum...lol. the converter here hates Cake. its 1/2 limit, actually.
and, hand one was a RIVER question. sorry if i wasnt clear. i want to know how hard to hit the flush card....how hard to we tempt ourselves to overplay idiot chasing bastards like these?

1) that is why i ask. i am not folding and am scared of a flush. so, if i fold, i will tilt like a bitch if i had the winner. so, that is taken care of. giant pot, we have top set, we charged like hell...if they hit it, i pay it off. (i've actually folded here before and dropped the best hand...lol) i am wondering about raising, though. i mean, we HAVE to be sure we will see a flush here, right? like 99%?
2) why arent we checking? i WANT that flush to come in so he thinks he can raise my donk on the river if the turn checks through. i get 3 bets there or two on the turn and one on the river. same/same.
what worries me is scaring him off on the flop by 3betting. if he has an 8, we cap. if he has the draw/overs/overpair, he shuts down. but, with the latter, wont he fire the turn most times if we only call his raise and send off the signal that he sceeeeered us. then, POP! we get him for two. and, lead the river. i thought for sure he was on the draw and thought i had the 8 and would raise that river......i wanted to tell him in chat to bend over again, plz. but, he only took the tip instead of the whole 2 inches....lol.
sorry for the vulgarity. i am in a mood lately.

the answer about the river is you have to know your opponent. Against most of the guys i play against i check/call. Against random 1/2 guy i'm very tempted to jam the river just because he may have never seen a set before.

If we get 3bet we hate life though. With all those chasers I just take the easy 1 bet showdown path.

If we check the turn and he misses his flush (~80% of the time), we win 0 BB nearly always. If we check the turn and the river flushes him, we win 2-3 bets perhaps.
And this is assuming he is on a flush draw. If he has a small overpair or an 8, he is either calling or raising our turn bet and we can hammer him some more.

Noob question: how do you convert cake hands? like, what do you copy+paste from the html link to get them convertable?

i go into my hard drive's "program files" and pull those bastards out manually. then, i run them through FTR's converter, as weaktight doesnt support cake yet. if i am diligent, i will go into our converter and correct the HH manually, as well. as you can see, it likes to list them as NL games and use the BB as a big bet. i try to change the $$ to BB's, too, but that takes some time.
the easiest way i've found to remember where to look, since cake's hh viewer is so stupid, is to write down the table name/number (since all the levels have the same name....stupid again). then i write the last three numbers of the HH, and i go look for it later....and hope i remember what the question was.
its a pain in the ass, which is why you wont see many cake hands posted.
