You really don't know what they have so I'm betting anyway. Also, this is .02/.04, they always call.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

hehe. Maybe slightly. But at the time I had just about every possible decent hand on that board.

I have trips with the nut flush draw. What could they have that will call me? Will they really call with Kx in a pot this small given how ive played?

KoRnholio will become famous soon enough
Indeed. At this level often any pair, flush draw or inside straight draw will call to the river. Plus you have to charge them something to hit their 2-outer if they have any pocket pair other than queens
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Bet the turn!

This reminds me of a hand I played several weeks ago. I can't find the hand history, but it went something like this:

I had A K on the button.

CO limps, I raise, blinds fold, CO calls.

Flop: K K Q

he checks, I bet, he calls

Turn: Q

he checks, I bet, he calls

River: J

he checks, I bet, he raises, I think for a while--he usually has the case king, but when doesn't, does he have QsQh or or9dTd more often than he has a hand weaker than mine? i don't think so--so I 3-bet, he caps, I call

He shows AT

I win a nice pot.

The moral of the story: Some people don't care what the board looks like if they have any sort of hand or draw, and will checkraise a straight against a preflop raiser who's been betting a double-paired three-flush broadway board. P.S. Since your question was part bragging I figured it would only be appropriate to post a response that is part bragging.
