villain was uber tight. running 13/6/1 over smallish sample, but tight and folding to raises/steals all the same.

i bet the overpair on the flop, and get a pukey feeling when he c/r's me, but obv cant drop it. however, when the 3 came up on the river i felt that if he had QQ+, so be it, i am still calling a river 3bet on the off chance he is turning a worse hand into a bluff and generally just sick of my shit. my favorite was the comment i threw at him when he c/r'd me......the rock c/r's? usually a bad sign...

PokerStars Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (4 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, J
UTG calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero calls

Flop: (7.4 SB) 10, 3, 3 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, hero says, "lame", Hero calls

Turn: (5.7 BB) 7 (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls

River: (7.7 BB) 3 (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls

Total pot: $5.85 (11.7 BB) | Rake: $0.25

Results in white below:
Hero had J, J (full house, threes over Jacks).
BB mucked 10, K (full house, threes over tens).
Outcome: Hero won $5.60

this level is becoming a joke.

Rock or no rock (and I don't consider 13/6 a rock), I'm not folding here. Screw his check/raise. He flopped top pair and probably knew you would c-bet. If he had the overpair I'd assume he'd just bet out. This line is so common that they turn their cards face up. Raising the river was a super play.

And yes, 25c/50c is a joke. But damn it's profitable when you play taggy. Which reminds me, I really should start playing more hands.

no cap PF, chopper?
rock or no rock, i 3bet his stone ass on the flop, if he caps, then i may reconsider slowing down. But you know me... the heir of the McSpewy dynasty.

airles,
what did he have there? KJ? i dont know why they dont raise 2pr here, but some of them dont.

to whom it may concern,

i played some 1/2 6max last night because, frankly, i was a bit drunk....and i need to gather another 250ish points to maintain my silver at stars because it's been such a light month. anyhoo, they were worse than 50/1. i found loose/passives all over the tables, and i sat on 8 different tables because they kept falling apart. wow.

granted, i lost $13, but who cares? they sucked. maybe there is just some block with 50/1 with me. i was shocked at what i saw at 1/2. i will be back there rather soon.

He had J6o.

IMO 1/2 is the pretty much the same players as 25c/50c. It's just tighter and maybe one less complete fish at the table. 6max is fishier though for sure.

do you have a "take" on 50/1? it seems overly aggressive to me, and i cant quite make the adjustment. i'm kind of demented in the fact i like the challenge (of adjusting), but i dont like just dumping money, either. and, i am off over 6 BB/100 at that level......granted its a super small sample size......~3k hands. but, still....

Funny thing, I've never played 50c/1. I usually grind away at the 25c/50c or I jump right into a couple 1/2 tables and the only real difference is that the play is a tad tighter. That only makes it easier to find the fish IMO.
